Wetlether has a few separate parts, and your data sits in different places depending on the part. This walks through all four.
The short version: Your conversations, code, and files live on your own cloud box, not on Wetlether's server. To answer you, your box sends your messages to the AI companies you connect, using your own accounts with them. Each of those companies keeps and uses data differently — they are not the same, and we say how below. Wetlether's own server holds your account and billing details, plus where your box lives — not what you talk about.
Our server keeps what's needed to run your account and bill you:
Our server does not receive your conversations, your code, your files, or your prompts, and we do not use them to train any model.
Backups. We keep backup copies of this account and billing information so a server problem can't wipe out your account. Those backups do not contain your conversations. A record you delete can still sit in a backup copy until that copy is replaced by a newer one.
Staff access. Our staff can see your account record — email, billing status, and where your box lives — to support you and to contact you about your account. They cannot see your conversations, and because we store a scrambled check of your code rather than the code itself, they cannot sign in to your box.
We do not sell or rent your information, we do not run ads or advertising trackers, and we do not share your information with data brokers. The mobile app carries no advertising or profiling kits.
Your box runs in your own cloud account. It holds:
Your conversation content is not routed through Wetlether's server — your box talks to the AI companies directly. Because the box sits in your cloud, you can delete what's on it yourself, and deleting your Wetlether account cannot reach into your cloud to delete it for you.
The app on your device stores your access code so it can reach your box, plus your app settings. When you turn on notifications, your device's notification address is registered so your box can alert you. The conversations you see in the app are served from your box; that's where the real copy lives.
To answer you, your box sends the content of your messages — and any photos, files, or text you choose to share — to the AI provider or providers you've connected, on your own account with them. By default that is Anthropic (Claude). If you connect more providers, your messages may also go to OpenAI, Google, Perplexity, and xAI; in the multi-AI modes (Stampede, Trail Boss, Conductor) a single message can be sent to several of them at once.
Each company then handles your data under its own terms, and those terms differ by company and by the kind of account you use:
Because these differ, please check each company's own policy, and choose which providers you connect in Settings: Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Perplexity, and xAI. You agree to this sharing when you first open the app.
This website is a separate thing from the app and your box. Cloudflare delivers these pages for us, so as the company serving them it sees the requests — which page was asked for, the browser type, and a rough location — and we use its visit counts to see how many people read what. We do not run advertising trackers here. The fonts on this site are served from this website rather than from a font company's servers, so reading a page here doesn't hand your address to a third party.
If you type a question into the demo box on our homepage, that text is sent to our server and we may keep it to improve Wetlether. Don't put anything sensitive in it.
If you turn on notifications, your device's notification address is stored so your box can send you alerts. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
You can delete your account yourself, at any time. Sign in to your Wetlether account and choose Delete account. You can do that from the app, or on the web at wetlether.com/delete-account, which walks you through it. You do not need to email us and wait.
Deleting erases what we hold: your sign-in email, the scrambled check of your access code, every sign-in you have open, and any referral codes or credits tied to you. It cannot be undone. As noted above, a deleted record can still sit in a backup copy until that copy is replaced.
Your conversations, projects, code, and files live on your own box in your own cloud, not on our servers, so we cannot reach in and delete them — they are yours to delete directly. To remove the box itself, delete the project you made for Wetlether in the cloud account where you set it up.
If you have a paid subscription, deleting your account does not stop the billing — that is handled separately, by Apple or by your card provider — so cancel it there too, or you may be charged again. Stripe and the app stores keep their own payment records under their own policies.
Your box runs inside your own cloud account, and reaching it takes your access code. Your account details travel encrypted and sit on access-controlled servers. We hold a scrambled, one-way check of your access code rather than the code itself, so our records cannot be used to sign in to your box. We do not store payment card details — payments are processed by Stripe and the app stores under their own security programs.
